Laptop Learning

Students have been working hard to learn laptop procedures in our classroom. They can currently all log on independently and get to the expected activity. So far students are familiar with the following programs:

  • Raz Kids - A website with leveled reading books for students to listen to, read independently, and take a comprehension quiz on. I am able to adjust the book selections for students as they grow as a reader throughout the year.
  • Teach Your Monster to Read - A fun phonics based game that has students work with letters and sounds as they work their way through a number of levels with their monster.
  • IXL - A math site that is broken down by both grade level and math content area. Students answer questions in their chosen math area and receive explanations when they answer incorrectly.
  • Lexia - Some students are currently using Lexia, a program that supports reading and comprehension.
More learning options using our computers to come all year!
