Narrative Writing Celebration

Today we wrapped up our narrative writing unit with a celebration of our hard work! Students spread out around our classroom, and then Ms. Menard's students spread out 1:1 to listen to our stories. After a few minutes, Ms. Menard's students rotated and found a new person to listen to. After students had the opportunity to read/share their stories with 4-5 peers, we switched it up and did the same procedure for Ms. Menard's class as they shared their stories with us. 

In preparation for this celebration, students have been working all week to fix and fancy a story of their choice. They chose one story from their folder that they loved and that demonstrated their writing ability, revised it, edited it, and then added finishing touches like color, a cover, and a dedication page.
